Sign Buy-Back Program
Bring back the signs you bought from us, and we'll put the good ones back to work on another show.
Why we do this
Corrugated plastic signs are hard to get rid of. Most recycling programs won't take them, and we can't recycle them at the shop either. So when a show wraps, a lot of perfectly good signs end up in the trash.
Buy-back is how we catch the good ones. We clean them, disinfect them, pull off the old vinyl and sell them again. It's time-consuming, and the program doesn't make us money. It's our attempt to keep good signs out of landfills, and we'd love to keep it going.
What we take back
- Signs you bought from us. We can't accept signs from any other company, even ones that look like ours.
- Signs in good shape. Corners and grommets intact, no tears, no cracks, no heavy tape.
- Signs packed in our clear sign storage bags, so they come back flat and sorted.
Please leave the broken ones out. This is a reuse program, not a recycling drop-off. Every broken sign in the pile is time we spend sorting trash instead of saving good signs.
Returns that include signs from other companies, or that get left at the shop without talking to us first, will be turned away.
How it works
- Take your signs down with aluminum wire, not zip ties. Untwisting wire keeps the corners and grommets in one piece. Cutting zip ties is how most signs get torn.
- Email gogreen@greenlocationsigns.com or call (646) 664-1474 before you bring anything in.
- Drop them off at the shop, 39-11A 47th Ave, Sunnyside, NY 11104. Or ship them at the production's expense. We don't provide return labels.
- We check every sign and decide which ones we can reuse.
- You get a report with the count and a discount code for your next order.
Credit is paid per sign we can reuse, and reflective signs earn more than standard ones. It's a discount on a future order, not a refund of your original payment. Questions? Email or call us anytime.
